Art and Science Within Ecologies of Relations Exhibition
Centro de Cultura Politécnico do Porto, Praça do Marquês de Pombal 94, 4000-391. Porto, Portugal
Do you recognize yourself in the eyes of a bird, at the foot of a mountain, in planetary waters, in the song of a whale, in the books you read, in the songs you hear, in the air you breathe, in the streets you walk and the cities you inhabit—and if so, what might this reveal about your ecological self?
The exhibition invites you to explore the multiple relationships and interdependencies between humans and Nature, unfolding ideas surrounding embodied learning, human-nature relationships, sensory experience of presence through installation, sculpture, sound, photography, and painting. It brings artistic research and practice into dialogue with scientific inquiry on transformation, regeneration, sustainability, and evolving experimental practices based on art-science-approaches and embodied learning.
