SHIFT FORUM series

SHiFT proposes the creation of a transdisciplinary Hub to address existing challenges in advancing timely societal transformations in the face of climate change.

Under the SHIFT plan of initiatives, we are pleased to announce the organization of a permanent seminar that will bring the opportunity to promote the reflection and the debate across diverse partners, invited lecturers and artists. The SHIFT Forum will take place at online platform 1 time per month, according to a timetable that will be disseminated.

SHIFT Forum aims to promote the participation of invited speakers, visionary thinkers acting at different geographical scales, scientific domains, and society sectors, considering the inclusion of several approaches which contribute to discuss and to reflect about a core of themes that allow the link of the following keywords, but that do not end in them themselves: Societal Transformation, Social Science and Humanities, Critical Practice, Transdisciplinary and Climate Resilience.

SHIFT Forum purposes to be a democratic and inclusive space intending to integrate expertise in sectors, policies and systemic, transformative solutions (governance, technological, non-technological, behavioural changes, investments) in fields including notably: climate change adaptation and mitigation; climate services; climate resilience; natural resources; systemic and nature-based solutions; environmental advocacy and citizen engagement; sustainable production and consumption; disaster risk reduction and management including public health and critical infrastructures; international development in the field of climate change; science communication; water management; biodiversity; agriculture, economy and finance; social inequalities and societal transformations; architecture and sustainable urbanism; arts, and cultural interventions; philosophy of ideas, history and cultural heritage.

SHIFT Fast Talk

Under the SHIFT plan of initiatives, we are pleased to announce the organization of a Fast Talk directed exclusively to SHIFT members that will bring the opportunity to share their works, knowledge, and innovative practices and solutions in an inclusive and democratic virtual space taking in mind that climate change is a collective problem that cannot be tackled in isolation and within siloes.

The SHIFT Fast Talk will take place at online platform 1 time per month (about 15´minutes), according to a timetable that will be disseminated.
